Phantom Recorder watches the TikTok accounts you choose and starts recording the moment a live begins. It also saves stories before they expire and downloads posts when you ask for them.

Good to know
- Posts and stories are read through a background browser window, so Chrome, Brave or Edge has to be installed.
- TikTok stories are gone 24 hours after they go up. With STORY switched on they are saved in time.
- Without a sign-in TikTok throttles requests and lives are found less reliably. You can add your TikTok session in the program.
How it works

Add the account
Create a card for the person and type their TikTok username on it.

Switch on LIVE and STORY
From then on the account is checked in the background. A live is recorded as soon as it starts; stories are checked every 30 to 90 minutes and saved as they appear.

Pick the quality
“Records at” sets the quality of the recording, from Original (best) down to 360p. Stop recording ends one early.

Fetch posts when you want them
Open Get, pick the person, choose Posts, Stories or Picture and press the TikTok chip. Tick the tiles you want and press Download selected.

Questions
Does it record a TikTok live automatically?
Yes. Put the username on a person's card and switch LIVE on. Phantom Recorder then checks the account in the background and records from the moment the stream starts.
In what quality are TikTok lives recorded?
You choose, from Original (best) down to 360p. Original keeps the highest quality the stream offers.
Do I need a TikTok account?
Not strictly. But without a sign-in TikTok throttles requests and lives are found less reliably, so adding your session in the program is recommended.
Can I save TikTok stories before they disappear?
Yes. With STORY switched on, stories are checked every 30 to 90 minutes and saved as they appear. You can also fetch the current stories yourself in Get.
